Two More Birthday Pictures...

This is my boss Sister Sharp, and my cool birthday sign and yummy cookies she made me.

Here are a few of the Psychology professors and one of the T.A.s that sang to me. :)

March Madness!! Birthday and Basketball.

March has always been one of my favorite months, only because it's my birthday month! Unfortunately now I have to share it with basketball.  But...I guess that's okay.  Every year I become more of a sports fan. :) Also, there is a rule that we won't watch basketball on my Birthday, unless it's what I want to do.  So, some may think that 22 is pretty young, which it is, but it sure feels a lot older than 21! Especially when I think that I will be 23 next year.  It's way weird that I'm getting older.  I feel like I'm staying the same age, but everyone younger than me is catching up!

I started my day off at work at the Psychology Department on campus.  My awesome boss gave me this plant.  I took some pictures at work, but they are on the school computer.  I'll have to post them later.

My birthday dinner at Wingers.

Jevan made my cake.  Rainbow chip frosting in the middle and chocolate on the outside.

He's always so meticulous!

We decided it looked like a giant oreo. :)

The finished product in my brand new cake display/container thing.  I don't know what they're called, but I love it!

The traditional birthday cake pose.  22 baby!

This is a posed photo of me blowing out the candle.  Jevan accidentally missed the real thing.  So, this is me pretending I'm blowing out the candles.  Looks a little goofy. haha.

The giant bracket Jev made for March Madness.  He spent quite a while putting it together.

He updates it constantly.  We recently taped up the brackets we made online below it, because I was always forgetting which teams I picked and should be voting for.

Moving Forward

Jevan and I have officially decided that we are going to leave Rexburg and move to Utah Valley at the end of April!! We are both so excited, and I don't know about Jevan, but I'm a little nervous!  It's a big step to move away from a place you have been living for about the last 4 years of your life!  I am finishing up school this semester and doing my student teaching in September 2012...this fall!!  There are interviews for certain schools next week, and I hope I can get into the one I want! Wish me luck!  Jevan is going to defer his spring semester, and hopefully decide on a major.  He is gradually becoming more sure that he's interested in economics and political science.  I guess that's the first step.  We're both going to be looking for summer jobs in Utah, so if anyone reading this knows of any job openings, please let us know!

This is me and Jev wearing our rival shirts.  West Virginia and Virginia Tech.  I don't know why he doesn't like to smile...maybe this is supposed to be his intimidating look?

Valentines Day...a little late...

Although I already put most of these pictures on Facebook, I still thought Valentines day was worth blogging about.  This was my and Jevan's first Valentines day as a married couple, and our third one being together.  I have to say every year he gets better and better! Our first Valentines day he gave me some awesome BYU-Idaho sweat pants and some peanut butter chocolates.  Our 2nd Valentines day he surprised me with the most wonderful list of compliments/love note, and 2 dozen roses and chocolates.  Our third Valentines day, (this year), was even better!  I only expected to go out to eat and watch a chick flick. (I had already been given a nice coat that was part of my valentines and birthday gift).  Little did I know there was a lot more to happen this day!

First, I spent all day in my first grade classroom.  For my senior Practicum I get the opportunity to teach and observe in a first grade classroom two times a week.  The kids are adorable, but can be super crazy!  I made a Valentine's box, hoping that they would give me some Valentines...I was worried I would come home empty handed....but instead, I had plenty of love from these kids!

My whole box was over flowing! It was awesome!

Then I came home to find a sweet hanging Valentine in our bedroom.
I thought this was it, and I was happy with that.  So, we went grocery shopping in Idaho Falls, and guess what was in the trunk?  A clue to a Valentine Scavenger hunt!  Jevan sure knows me well. :)  So, we ate at Cafe Rio, I searched for the answer to my clue, and found a beautiful rose, attached to ANOTHER clue!  This lead to a couple other clues that eventually lead me to my favorite cupcake from the Cocoa Bean. :)

All of this awesome night concluded with going to see the new Sherlock Holmes movie in the cheap theaters and me giving Jev a video game for his gift.  What a perfect Valentines Day!
