Saying Goodbye to Rexburg and Hello to Utah

Well, Jevan and I have finally left Rexburg!  Jev has been living there since Fall of 2009, and he was ready for a break from the weather!  I at least always had summers to go back home to Yakima.  I finished all my classes at BYU-I, so we decided that Jevan could take a break from the semester and we could move to Utah, get some jobs, save money, and I could prepare for my student teaching in the Fall.  So far, everything has worked out great!  We are renting the basement apartment of my sister Kari's house, and it's awesome!  It's fun to be so close by so I can hang out with my sister and nieces and nephews.  My other sister Wendy lives really close too, and Jevan's sisters Mandi and Chelsea live fairly close as well, so it's been really nice.  Jevan and I both had about 3 job interviews set up for the Monday after we got here.  (we came last saturday).  We both got several job offers too!  Jevan decided to take a lawn care job that he started yesterday.  It's sweet because the guy actually just lives a block away and although we found him on craigslist, he ended up being a good friend of my sister Kari and her husband.  So Jevan can just walk down the street to work, and then they have trucks that take him and the other crew workers around Utah where they pull weeds, mow lawns, and other things for commercial stores like Walgreen's.  He comes home sweaty and tired, but he likes to be outside.  I got a job as a waitress at Olive Garden!  It's only about 10 min. away, and I was told I can get as many hours as I want now, and as little as I want when I start student teaching.  I start training on Monday.  The cool thing about becoming a waitress is that I can transfer to any Olive Garden I want later on, which makes getting a job all the more easier!  Sorry for the long update, I guess it's been a while.  Here are some cool pictures to go with it all.

Our trailer was packed TIGHT!  It was a miracle we got everything in.  Everyone was pretty doubtful, but luckily we had some awesome helpers.  Our friends Hailey, Robyn, Brighton and Brett came that morning to help pack.  Too bad we had to unpack their masterpiece only about 6 hours later.
It's also lucky we have a Jeep to pull everything.  It was slow going, we went about 60 the whole time to be safe, but we made it!

Here's Jevan putting the bed together.  I was not going to sleep on the ground. haha.  So this was the first thing I had him do.  Well, of course we ate food first.  My sister Wendy had some burritos for us and Kari provided plates and lemonade.

Here's our bedroom.  It's pretty big, so I just took a picture of the closet doors.  It's not walk in or anything, but it's big and nice with lots of space.  But, only enough for me...haha.  Jevan still has to keep his clothes in the spare room.

Here is our spare bedroom.  It's full of Jevan's clothes, my keyboard, and other storage things.

This is our HUGE bathroom!  There is about 10x the counter space than our old place.  And there are drawers to put things in.  As you can see, we still need to put stuff away.

Here is the beautiful living room.  We get to use my sister's extra leather couches, so that's really nice.  Jev and I can even sit on separate couches if we don't want to sit by each other. haha.

And this is the kitchen with the nice granite counter tops and a sweet pantry!  I love how much more cupboard space there is!

This is a picture from April.  Jev and I built legos while listening to General Conference.  It helped keep us awake and focused.

I made this cool spaceship.

This is from our family vacation to the Oregon Coast with my Family.  Here we are at the Tilamook Cheese Factory.

You have to take a pic in this bus of course!  We also enjoyed the free cheese samples and I enjoyed eating some yummy Tilamook icecream. :)

The weather was so beautiful, which was lucky for Oregon.  We had fun playing on the beach and throwing this football around.
