Last week was Thanksgiving, and we were blessed with gorgeous and SAFE traveling weather both on Wednesday and on Sunday for the drive back. I am so grateful for the wonderful weather that let me travel safely to enjoy Thanksgiving with my family and especially to enjoy a few more days with my little brother Kevin before he left on his mission for two years. It was also the first Thanksgiving Jevan and I had as a married couple, but ironically enough, we didn't spend it together! We both felt it was really important for me to see my little brother and really important for Jev go to Utah for his Grandpa's 80th surprise birthday party. It was okay though, we both had great Thanksgiving with our wonderful families! Here are a few things that happened for me over the Thanksgiving break:
First off, mom and dad and Kevin didn't know that Todd was coming home with me. They thought he was going to have to work here in Rexburg over the break. However, he was able to take a sick day and make the long trip with me, Mikele Cluff, Shane Dearinger and Shantel Turner. So, once we got into Yakima we dropped everyone off and then put Todd in the trunk of the car. I drove up the street and said hi to mom and Kevin, and then I told them that Todd had me bring a ton of stuff home and asked if they could help me carry it in. Mom complained a little that Todd has too much stuff, but was pleasantly surprised! She opened the trunk, saw Todd, screamed, and then starting crying because she was so happy. It was hilarious! I'm just sad I forgot my camera in Rexburg.
The next day was Thanksgiving, which was awesome! First thing in the morning we found out that Gracey (our dog), ate Todd's wallet, and took a bite out of some of his cash. haha. It was really too bad for him, but I thought it was pretty funny. Mom always hated his skull wallet anyways. She thought girls would think he was a weirdo if they saw it. haha. The cool thing is that Jevan and I tired on of Todd's five dollar bills in a change machine for laundry, and it excepted it! Suckers!
Then Lisa and Alan, Macey and Logan came over for Thanksgiving, and of course we had to play a little MarioKart Doubledash!
The games would get pretty intense, and since there are only four controllers the person in last place would have to trade with the person who didn't have a controller. In this case, it was me that had to wait my turn.
We then had my aunt Joan and cousin Michael over for dinner, which was delicious of course! Then had a fun time playing a little Hooplah, eating pie, and playing a huge game of Catch Phrase with our family friends the Ridds.
The rest of the break went pretty smoothly with a shopping trip on blackfriday to Costco where mom had to get some awesome socks, and where we got an all-american chocolate cake!

Lisa, Alan and I also got a horrible rash from the Hot Tube, and it's finally starting to go away now. One of the teachers in the Psychology Department told me it was hives, and that he once had hives for four years! And that it deformed his face for a little while. So, I was a little worried. Luckily, I seem to be fine. I also hit my foot on our dishwasher and got a pretty sweet looking bruise!
But, the best part of my Thanksgiving break was that I got to hang out with my little brother Kevin and that I got to hear his farewell talk. I am so proud of the changes that he has made and the man that he has become. He tried on his new suits for me and he looks pretty snazzy! He'll probably convert a lot of women just because they'll have a crush on him. ;) haha. His talk went really well, and I was lucky enough to play a musical number that he requested. I learned it in two days, and it went pretty well considering that. He's now in the MTC and getting ready to go convert lots of people in San Diego. :)

Jevan also had a great Thanksgiving. His grandpa was completely surprised at the party! They had pretty much everyone there and took a huge family picture which they say they want to crop me in to. The following picture is just of Jev's immediate family with his grandparents.
Jevan also went to Walmart at about 10:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving to get a little Black Friday action, and he bought a cool new batman game that we still need to try out and the Call of Duty Black Ops Nazis Zombie game. He and his brother in law Tanner stayed up until 3:00 in the morning two nights playing the game. I think he misses having guys to play shooter games with him. I tried today though, and it's actually pretty fun! Jevan says I'm pretty good at it for a girl, which he means as a compliment. haha.
Overall, Thanksgiving was awesome, but it was really nice to come home and see Jevan again. I'm so grateful we never have to spend another summer apart like we did the last two.
